Emerging from the borderless youth culture of Japan, 80kidz began making music as a three-piece DJ unit in early 2007, and released their own limited bootleg mix CD “The Kidz Are Alnight No.1” in February of the same year. This mix sold-out rapidly and requests for DJ appearances quickly followed – they have since performed with the likes of Justice, Busy P, Boys Noize, Teenage Bad Girl, Hot Chip and Bobmo. “The Kidz Are Alnight No.2” continued to move things further forward for them, and a series of Myspace only unofficial remixes saw the threesome’s music blogged, discussed, and circulated around the world. This attention has built ever further with the posting of an original track, “Disdrive”, which was soon followed by official remix requests pouring in from autoKratz, Danger, Benjamin Diamond, Cazals, CSS, Black kids, the Shoes, Quiero Club, When Saints Go Machine, and Futurecop!. Their first EP “Life Begins at Eighty” was released in August of 2008, and has helped create a growing international fanbase for the band, with bloggers and tastemakers praising their productions, and DJs worldwide charting the single “Disdrive” and “Fxxk Fox”. And the first full album was to be released on 15th April 2009 on KSR. They were booked for Printemps de Bourges in France and rocked the Bourges crowd in April. Soon after, they toured in the UK in May, playing at The Great Escape in Brighton, Futuresonic in Manchester, Stag and Dagger in London and Soundcity in Liverpool. And they got a lot of great feedback from the UK press. Following in the footsteps of genre-mashing electronic artists such as Surkin, M.I.A, The Bang Gang DJs, and Vitalic, and influenced by club scenes from Sydney to London to Paris, these 80kidz are ready to show the world what Tokyo can do. Are the 80kidz real or hype? They entrust your judgment in making that call! From 2010, a new incarnation of 80kidz will start, with Ali& and Jun as a duo, they will continue with 80kidz, with excitement for the future, and will keep bringing you their sound from here in Japan, to the world.

Rado Bogasch(Discord/Poland)

Rado has been a fixture in Polish electronic music scene for  quite some time and played alongside everyone that’s worth mentioning. But the most important thing is he is an amazing DJ. Every time we play with him, he put us to shame with his cut up, quick and diverse sets that ranges from IDM, Techno to Disco and Hip Hop.
