Only one week to go and we’re already super-excited about our next Comadisco, but how much fun was the last one (and that crazy balloon light thingy)? Very. And we thought the venue was near perfect too, but we are following our nomadic agenda and marching north towards Stoke Newington again. As usual we will reveal the venue details on the day of the event via our FB event page and via personal messages so keep your eyes peeled.
Our guest disco jockey this month is Sean Johnston from “A Love From Outer Space”, which he’s been co-running with Andrew Weatherall for the last couple of years. Sadly their brilliant monthly Thursday nights at The Drop has come to an end but these days they are taking the ALFOS sound (barely touching 120bpm slow chugging cosmic house and disco with a dash of new beat and dub) worldwide.
Sean has also been releasing killer records under the Hardway Bros. alias for quality labels such as Is It Balearic?, History Clock and Astro Lab. Expect his trademark 115bpm Balearic Disco/Galactic House on the night.
Check out his mix as well to get you in the mood for Friday. (Thanks to Test Pressing)
You, of course, will be treated to loads of balloons and more balloons carefully blown by our beloved art direction wing, Moist Yet Workable. Great records will be played by yours truly, Fumix and Marco a.k.a Future Sound of Clapton before and after Sean Johnston.
See you on the dancefloor!
