Seven hours of kaleidoscopic COMADISCO Summer Fête!

—-Jan Schulte aka Wolf Müller aka Bufiman—-
Touching on all things wild, panoramic, voodoo and cosmic, Jan has been cultivating his unique production styles on a various aliases for the last couple of years. Results can be found on his own Themes For Great Cities, Versatile and International Feel alike. He’s also a one of the resident DJs at much celebrated Salon Des Amateurs in Düsseldorf alongside Lena Willikens. Expect the extraordinary. Here’s a recent podcast from the man itself for your auditory pleasure:

—-In Flagranti—-
In Flagranti has been a close friend of us for a while now and whenever you have him around for a tea it turns into a party. Perfect guest for Comadisco I’d say.
He’s a very talented music maker of all kinds. Touching on afro, dub, NW, disco, house and pop(!) and we requested him for a set of unplayable records for this night so it’s only for the open-minded. We also have a brand new exclusive mix for Comadisco, enjoy!

As always a support comes from Fumix who will try to be nice and reasonable to everyone but maybe not after midnight.

There are no pre-sale tickets for this one. It is free entry before 10pm. After that you’ll simply pay £10 at the door on your arrival.

See you all on the dancefloor!

COMADISCO @ The Yard w/ The Maghreban Saturday 21st of February

The_Maghreban_Versatile_Records_podcast_Jan_15_cover

Hellooooo,

First of all, many many hi-fives to all who came and danced last month in below zero temperature. Telephones played a stunning set and the vibe was ace all night long. A round of applause all around I’d say! The Yard promised us there’ll be a wall and a door for this event so no need for an extra layer of tights and socks.

This is the start of our new monthly residency at The Yard.
Instead of being a nomadic disco that we had been for the last 10 years (on and off), we’ve decided to settle with a lovely venue with a lovely soundsystem run by lovely people for a while. We are not that young anymore and the prospect of having a home is ever more appealing or we just got lazier. You decide.

Anyhooooo, we are bringing in a relative newcomer as our February’s guest. The Maghreban has released a couple of twisted house-not-house music on his own Zoot Records last year that we dug very much. Now that he has got a record out on one of our all time favourite label “Versatile” the world seems ready for his unique psychedelic vision. Here’s a rather wonderful mix he’s recently done for Versatile records, we hope that gets you in the mood for Saturday:

Fumix and our friend Simon S will be on an assisting duty trying to steer the ship in a slightly more sinister-than-usual manner.

Free entry all night long. See you on the dancefloor!

Hard Facts vs COMADISCO w/ Telephones (Sex Tags, Running Back, Full Pupp) Saturday 24th of Jan.

10492365_10153004032673854_2795395443619122280_n

Finally our first party of 2015 is just around the corner! This Saturday, to be precise,  we’re teaming up with the talented Hard Fact boys, and heading down to the Yard Theatre in Hackney Wick for a late night affair. Joining us will be one of our favourite DJ/Producers of recent times, Telephones. Expect a night of extremely well crafted electronic music, beautiful vibes and, of course beautiful people.

Berlin-based Norwegian Telephones has released music on some of Europe’s finest underground labels including Sex Tags UFO, Full Pupp and Running Back. His sound, both in the studio and behind the decks, crosses musical borders from the equator to the arctic circle, referencing elements of Chicago house, fluffy Italo disco, Krautrock, Afro and Balearic tutti-frutti, often with a healthy sprinkling of tropical good vibes. Here’s one of his latest tracks:

As we mentioned already, also on the firm are Hard Facts residents Toby “Tiger” Tobias and “Dangerous” Damon Martin. We’re starting at 9pm and going until they kick us out. It’s only seven of your English pounds on the door and if you get there before 11 we won’t charge you anything. Bargain!

Just to put you in the mood, here’s our own Fumix’s mix, for your aural pleasure only:

See you on the dancefloor!

Saturday 15th of November COMADISCO @ Tipsy Bar

Hello everybody!

Another month another COMADISCO.
After seeing how raucous and delicious it was at the last party (see above) we are back again at Tipsy Bar on the 15th of November with our friend and a damn fine selector, Horton Jupiter (Puwaba)!

Fresh from guesting on Hardway Bros’ latest EP on Throne Of Blood, Horton is wilder and more unpredictable than ever sucking all your leftover blood from Halloween a few weeks prior with his signature bite of jungle disco muzique.

Assist comes from our Fumix. Fresh from a failed root canal operation, he’s weaker than ever relying on his guest to rock the party as usual. He promised to try harder this month though!

Free entry and free hugs,  see you all on the dancefloor!

COMADISCO Roof Top Park w/ Soft Rocks Sunday 28th September

Hello all,

Thanks for coming to Chatsworth Road Festival that was great fun. We’ll be back on Glenarm Road next year for more dancing on our doorsteps for sure.

For our end-of-summer party, we’ve roped in Piers Harrison of Soft Rocks. They have been one of our favourite disco collectives for the last few years and very excited to finally have him play records at COMADISCO.
They have been releasing original materials through fussy and brilliant ESP Institute, bucket loads of quality edits, diverse alter egos and killer remixes. Most importantly, for us, he’s a great selector and a nice chap to boost.

It’s going to be at our new favourite roof Dalston Roof Park from 3pm to 10pm. The entrance, like the last time, is free to all the DRP members. To be a member go sign up from the link below it’s only £5 or you can do it on the day.

Oh, and Comadisco co-founder, Marco will be travelling back from Singapore to join us for this party after almost a year of absence. Come and give him a hug. Make sure you take Monday off.

See you up on the roof again for the last summer rave!
